Darren Fletcher was on BT Sports to cover the game via commentary and he was delighted with the contribution of Klich in the thumping win over the Clarets.
BT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher is the namesake offormer Stoke City, West Brom and Manchester United midfielder who’s now the technical director at Old Trafford. Ex-Scotland national team player Darren Fletcher was appointed into the position earlier this year.
Klich gave Leeds United a slender lead at the break before his teammates added three more goals to make it a convincing 4-0 victory over the Clarets. Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison added the second goal for the visitors before the game was wrapped up by Spanish international Rodrigo Moreno who came off the bench to score two goals.
Harrison was the provider for the final two goals of the game scored by Rodrigo. He is on loan at Leeds United from Premier League champions Manchester City.
Klich impressed in that Burnley game after he was handed a starting spot for the second successive league game after playing his part from the start in the 3-1 win over North London giants Tottenham Hotspur. The Polish international had lost his place in the Leeds United starting XI in the league games leading up to the Spurs game. He was rested for the last game of the current Premier League campaign on Sunday to enable him rest well for his international commitments with Poland ahead of the upcoming Euro 2020. He was excused from the Leeds squad for the 3-1 home win over already-relegated West Brom in the last game of the season last weekend.
